The Annual General Meeting was held at the Hospital on Thursday, March 27th, 1941, at 5 p.m. His Worship The Mayor (Councillor W. E. R. Short) presided. The Secretary read the Report for the year 1940. The Statement of Accounts was taken as read. The Hon. Treasurer (Mr. C. E. Hancox) made some explan¬ atory remarks. His Worship proposed that the Report and Statement of Accounts be approved and adopted. Seconded by the President (Mrs. Jackson). His Worship proposed that thanks be given to the Execu¬ tive Officers, General Committee and Honorary Medical Staff for their services during the year 1940, and that they be elected as at present standing, and that Messrs. J. D. Nickels and Peake be re-elected as Auditors. Seconded by Miss Horne and resolved. Mr. Jackson proposed that thanks be given to His Worship the Mayor for his kindness in presiding at the Meeting. Seconded by Mr. Rowlands and resolved.
