The date 1698 is found on the first of the six unnumbered leaves immediately following the first work, which contain the essay entitled: 'Traité du mouvement musculaire et de la méchanique des muscles'. This is written by the same hand as that of the work by Louis Barles, which was first published at Lyons in 1675. Produced in Montpellier.

Purchased 1912.

The Chirac material is most probably notes of lectures by an anonymous student.
