Council of Trustees correspondence and papers re EGM, April 1997

Council of Trustees papers concerning an EGM held on 3 Jul 1997 to consider three resolutions to amend the memorandum of association and articles of association of the company. The three resolutions proposed relate to commercial sponsorship from infant formula manufacturers (resolution 1), membership subscriptions (resolution 2), and procedures for the calling of future EGMs (resolution 3). The EGM Information Trust was established by requisitioners of the EGM to disseminate information about their concerns, with the stated aim of "allowing informed decisions to be made during the current crisis in the NCT over membership subscriptions and sponsorship". The Information Trust was a splinter group of the NCT, funded independently by donation from supporters.
