"Thalidomide in Spain / Austria"

Correspondence regarding the situation in Spain for people affected by thalidomide, about attending events and conferences (including a press conference on 3 October 2005), and about Newman assisting with the assessment of members of the Asociacion De Victimas Por Talidomida De España. The file contains a sub-folder titled "Spanish Thal Commission 6-2017" which contains correspondence and papers regarding Newman attending a meeting of the Scientific-Technical Committee on Thalidomide, a working group set up by the Council of the National Health System. These papers date from June to September 2017, the rest of the file dates from 2004 to 2005.

A second sub-folder was originally part of the file, but has been removed and catalogued as PP/CNE/D/3/16 due to its sensitive content. Digital material original contained in this file has been catalogued as PP/CNE/D/3/17.
