Correspondence regarding a Henry Failing Lecture ("Some Speculations on the Origin of Life"), delivered at the University of Oregon, Eugene, on 17 May, 1977.

Crick's lecture, together with a preceding lecture by Leslie Orgel, were presented as a pair with the general heading 'Origins of Life'. On the previous day (16 May), Crick also gave an informal talk on "Chromatin."
