Reproduction of a page from Abraham, James Johnston: Lettsom, his life, times, friends and descendants, London : W. Heinemann Ltd., 1933, reproducing diagrams and instructions on the use of Evans' apparatus for artificial respiration with annotations by Lettsom from 1774. The diagrams and annotated instructions are held by the Royal College of Surgeons.
