Gebel Moya

This group of files relates to HSW's involvement with archaeological excavations at Jebel [Gebel] Moya near Sennar on the Gezira Plain in the Sudan from 1910 to 1914. For further information see WA/HSW/AR/Jeb. Apart from one file of general correspondence the bulk of the material relates to the recruitment and management of staff for the excavations which seems to have been the responsibility of CJST. It includes files of of correspondence about, and with, individual staff members, dealing with some personnel management issues and some administrative and technical matters about the excavations.
