Photograph of a human skull-cap, known as the Châtelperron skull, from the French Early Upper Palaeolithic period, as described in Lacaille, A. D. (Armand Donald): Châtelperron : a new survey of its palaeolithic industryOxford : C. Batey, 1947. The M series registersuggests that the skull was acquired in 1934 with collection of flints and bones, but it is unclear as to who acquired it from our records.
