Biographical note
Art in Global Health was a £400,000 project by Wellcome Collection to support the creation of art works that explored how global health research is conducted and how its findings are used. Artist residencies were established in six Wellcome Trust-funded research centres, each lasting around six months. Artists interacted with the research being undertaken in their host centres and produced art works in response to the research processes they encountered. At the end of the residencies, the art works were exhibited in the countries they were produced in and later in a Wellcome Collection exhibition titled "Foreign Bodies, Common Ground" (14 November 2013-16 March 2014).
