Description

Correspondence and notes regarding a Paul Lund Lecture ("The Future of Science as an Intellectual Enterprise") delivered at Northwestern University, Evanston, on 23 May, 1977. Crick also gave an informal research seminar ("The Structure of Chromatin") on 24 May, and, in the evening, participated in a panel discussion with Philip Handler and Mario Bunge.

The file includes a set of extensive notes (holograph) made in preparation, and a photocopy of Crick, "Molecular biology in the year 2000," Nature, 228 (1970), 613-5.

Also included is a set of speaking notes (21 sheets, holograph).
