About this work
Description
After receiving his final qualification from the Churchill Hospital in Oxford, Dr. Wrong travelled to the General Hospital in Toronto where he worked as a senior intern. From there, he went to a private Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago where he worked only 10 weeks before heading to Boston where he worked at the General Hospital under Alex Leaf. Dr Wrong left North America in the mid-1950s to return to the United Kingdom where he joined Robert Platt's kidney team at Manchester University. From there, Wrong went to University College Hospital London (UCH) in order to work with Max Rosenheim and Charles Dent and was later recruited to Hammersmith Hospital as a senior lecturer in medicine. Wrong left Hammersmith Hospital in order to accept an appointment to the Chair of Medicine at Dundee University where he stayed for 2.5 years before returning to University College Hospital in 1972 to succeed Charles Dent as Chair of Medicine. Wrong remained at UCH until his retirement in 1990.
