Section of human lung from a named individual, aged 52 years at death (1954) and an asbestos weaver (1923-1949). The item is labelled: "Pathological report: The tumour is an epitheloma of a bronchus. The lung parenchyma shows emphysema and thickening of alveolar walls with incorporation of asbestos bodies. Definite asbestosis and carcinoma of the lung. Signed J Dawson."
