Gwen Prout stamp collection vol.7 Nobel Prize Medicine 1945

The volume comprises a collection of stamps, first day covers, biographies and press cuttings relating to the discovery of penicillin and Sir Alexander Flemming, Ernst Chain and Sir Howard Florey, winners of the 1945 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Some of the items come with annotations and captions made by Gwen Prout. The stamps come from all over the world covering Europe, Africa, Oceania, North America and South America.
