Description
In 1949 Lacaille received a grant from the Board of Celtic Studies at Cardiff University to work with WF Grimes of the London Museum and Frere Jacques, of Caldey Abbey, to investigate the prehistoric archaeology of Caldey Island, near Tenby in South Wales. A large number of flint implements and pottery fragments were recovered, and a paper given to the Society of Antiquaries in 1954. The materials were returned to Caldey Priory to form a museum display.
