Description

Photograph of a terracotta vessel purchased at auction by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1931 (accession number A104946). According to the index card for the accession, the vessel is in the form of a "seated beggar with modelled head, and face disfigured by disease; pressing bowl to his chest". The item is not held by Wellcome Collection.
