Wellcome Historical Medical Museum display of a daguerreotype photomicrograph made by Leon Foucault originally published as an Illustration to Donne's Atlas (1845) which accompanied his Cours de microscopie (1844). The daguerreotype was acquired by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1929 and accessioned in 1950 (accession number R7/1950). Related imagers: M0011456
