About this work

Description

A man in drag is standing with a stick in his hand, looking angry, as other characters gaze towards the viewer; '1918' is written on the set. The company "The Goods" was attached to the 58th (London) Division in France. The concert party for this Division was particularly well organized and supplied, with semi-professional performers such as the famous Alouette (see Wellcome Library no. 2060626i)
