The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "The photograph depicts a young man in lacy tiered summer dress with wide crowned hat. Unlocated, but from the wooden hut in the background part of one of the innumerable concert party groups entertaing the troops behind the lines in WW1. By 1916-17 at least 80% of British and Dominion divisions and units had concert parties."
