Description

The book is paged continuously 1-287 and has been thrice used: first for Rutherford's lectures in 1751, then for a case of hydrophobia in 1762, and lastly for the lectures of Cullen and Whytt in 1763-4. The handwriting is very neat and careful and is the same throughout.

Biographical note

[Dr. John Rutherford, (1695-1779), was the first professor in Edinburgh to deliver clinical lectures in the Infirmary. Robert Whytt (1714-1766) was one of the pioneers of medical research investigations].
