Black and white reproduction of a letter from José Celestino Mútis (1732-1808) to Carl Linnaeus (1707–1778) dated 3rd October 1767. The letter was possibly reproduced as part of the facsimiles exhibited in Malaria section of the international celebration and exhibition : three hundredth anniversary of the first recognized use of cinchona by Europeans, 1630-1930 hosted by the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum in 1930. The facsimile is listed as exhibit no. 874 (b) in the souvenir catalogue. The original letter is held by The Linnean Society of London.
