Biographical note
Some of the photographs were obtained by the ICM in 1971/1972, when compiling a 'History of the ICM' for the 50th anniversary of the first international meeting of midwives in 1922. Founder members were written to and asked to provide photograph(s) and memory/narrative of their involvement in the early organisation.
