PROVISIONAL SPECIFICATION left by William Bird Herapath at the Office of the Commissioners of Patents, with his Petition, on the 29th September 1855. I, William Bird Herapath, of Bristol, in the County of Somerset, 5 Doctor of Medicine and Surgeon, do hereby declare the nature of the said Invention for “Improvements in the Manufacture of Surgical Instruments” to be as follows:— These improvements consist in the manufacture of probes, directors, specula, catheters, syringes, and other surgical instruments, either wholly or in part, or 10 covered or coated with the metal aluminium.
