Nos. V18501-18674 There are no sanctions for January to June. There are thirteen forms requesting admission for a voluntary patients with no accompanying sanctions, several are for patients who were transfered to Crichton Royal Institution from Edinburgh District Asylum at Bangour.

Biographical note

During the Second World War there was a large transfer of patients who were evacuated from Edinburgh District Asylum at Bangour. The first 150 patients arrived at Crichton Royal Institutin on 30 August 1939 and on 18 Novemeber 1941 a further 66 patients.
