Depiction of the Eshmun, healing god, with description. Decorations in book are based on Phoenician and Cypriot monuments contemporary with the period of Eshmun worship.

1 copy. Wallet style, bound in Morocco leather with wallet to hold a pen. Endpapers printed in light brown with cream printed unicorns. Text block machine made paper, text printed in black, paper pre lined with blue and brown printing ink. The Diary has all three edges in red. Embossed blind on spine '1939' and embossed unicorn on front, embossed 'Wellcome's Medical Dairy 1939' on flap. There is a blue tape bookmark printed ''WELLCOME' CHEMICALS PAGE 323. PRICE LIST PAGE 331' printed in dark blue. The tape has an advert attached to it, in the form of a paper; boxes of Wellcome Insulins, on other side, Refined Diphtheria antitoxin-Globulins
