About this work
Description
Collection of horoscopes. Some of the figures are coloured: text within red and black rules. The horoscopes include those of Jesus Christ, Napoleon I, the Dauphin of France [1781-1789], as well as those of his father, Pierre Chaussegros [1735-1792], killed at the taking of Speyer, and of himself under the name of 'Vital Chaussegros fils' born in 1769. The names 'Théophile Marie,' seem to have been added after about 1830. On the verso of the third leaf of this MS. he has made a note: 'Fait par Chaussegros, Astrologue et Marchand de vieux livres, demeurant rue de Brétagne No. 27 au marais. Paris année 1830'. Produced in Paris.
