[General correspondence]

This series contains all correspondence not otherwise collected together by Cleave. The files contain, in the main, correspondence received. Where correspondence has been pinned together by Cleave, this has been maintained. The letters in their variety reflect the growth of Cleave’s publications and his public profile. In particular, the letters in C.2/4 and C.2/5 evidence not only Cleave’s continuing contact with the medical establishment but also a wider network of interest, including television and popular medical publications, as many of his dietary themes begin to be taken-up across a broader lay community.
