Description
Sketch of the impression on a cylinder seal showing Adad, god of rain and stormflood who causes colds and rheums, c.1800 B.C. The cylinder was purchased at auction in 1933 by the Wellcome Historical Medical Musuem and accessioned in 1937 (accession number R486/1937). This sketch accompanied the cylinder as part of a display of Assyrian and Babylonian cylinders in the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum. It is not held by Wellcome Collection.
