Biographical note

Each page of every document in this sub-series has been assigned a running number. The original folders were labelled as "Working Papers", followed by the range of page numbers in the particular folder. This labelling and numbering scheme appears to have been assigned after the papers were deposited. Notes appended to some of the numbered documents in the collection suggest that, where pages in a folder have been assigned running numbers, the material was filmed.
