About this work
Description
In 'A rough introduction' marked 'Confidential', the author states that 'these maps are designed to aid the reading of history, just as "Spacemaps" assist the study of geography.' The charts are set out in coloured inks on squared paper: the maps are printed blank outlines, with MS. notes by the author, coloured symbols, etc. The period covered is from the 5th to the 18th cent. There is an additional chart of larger size for 'Great European Churches': this includes the Alhambra.
