"History of Midwifery Forceps": notes for a projected historical volume

Collection of material (including numerous biographies of gynaecologists and obstertricians) in manuscript and typescript, by C.J.S. Thompson (Librarian, Wellcome Historical Medical Museum), Alban Doran (foreword, and offprints of his "Chronology of the Founders of the Forceps" from the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 1915) and others. The material was to have been used for a history of midwifery forceps that was intended to form no. 3 of Wellcome Research Studies in Medical History.
