About this work

Description

Through the money from the Department of Development in the European Economic Community (EEC) and the Overseas Development Administration (ODA), Population Concern gave out 'Block Grants' yearly to fund projects, some of which would run for several years. These would often help to fund training and facilities at family planning centres, hospitals, women's and refugee centres, and for the development of villages. Each local group (normally a family planning association or similar charity) had to send in regular updates and reports to Population Concern, and copies of these would then be sent to the EEC and ODA.
