About this work
Description
Nineteen of the letters and postcards are to L.C. (Leonard Charles) Wooldridge, (1857-1889). These concern the latter's research on coagulation, publications in the Proceedings of the Royal Society, and the Croonian lecture Wooldridge delivered in 1886.
Recipients also include William Henry Flower (1831-1899), conferring about who should attend Richard Owen's funeral on behalf of the Royal Society, Thomas Henry Huxley (1825-1895), and Ernest Henry Starling (1866-1927). There is also a letter to J. Milner (John Milner) Fothergill (1841-1888) and Foster's reply, on the digestion of fat.
