Description

Obstruction (other than thrombosis) in large veins. Recurrent thrombophlebitis of various kinds. Also subject of varicose veins (re assurance, aetiology, etc) and the (Linser's) treatment by producing local venous thrombosis in cases of 'varicose ulcer and eczema'. Post operative or puerperal venous thrombosis and post-operative or puerperal embolisms and post-operative pulmonary complications of other kinds (especially in gastric cases). Notes and cuttings also regarding differential diagnosis etc of pulmonary embolism, and on general subject of pulmonary embolism. Also chronic leg ulcers (especially in young subjects) of varicose or obscure causation, for comparison with 'varicose ulcers'. Thrombosis in venous cerebral sinus after childbirth. Venous thrombosis as a sign of visceral cancer (Trousseau's sign). [PB34/1(a)] Axillary (and also subclavian) venous thrombosis and allied cases 1920-1943
