National Association for Mental Health (NAMH)

National Association for Mental Health, established in 1946, changed its name to Mind in 1972.

Morgan began working for the NAMH in 1954 as a junior assistant working under Robina Addis in the social services department. She then was given greater responsibility for NAMH's international links and contact with the WFMH. In 1965 Morgan was appointed deputy director and upon retirement from the organisation in 1980, she was appointed Vice President. Morgan was involved in all aspects of the organisation from its policy making and development; she played a major part in coordinating World Mental health year in the UK in 1960 and organised the world congress on mental health in London; one of her most fulfilling roles was planning and managing a new community programme.
