File consists of correspondence with people who have surnames from Adgey to Doll, related to the seminar on, "Thrombolysis", which was held at the Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at UCL on 28 January 2003. The seminar was part of the Wellcome Witnesses to Twentieth Century Medicine meetings also known as the Witness Seminars. Unlike most other seminars, the transcript of this seminar was not published. However an edited and annotated extract from the seminar did appear as Appendix 3 in Volume 23 of the Witness Seminar series, L.A. Renolds and E.M. Tansey (editors), The Recent History of Platelets in Thrombosis and Other Disorders, (London: Wellcome Trust, 2005).

Details of the seminar correspondence, primarily between the chair (Professor Brian Pentecost), organisers of the meeting (Professor Gustav Born and Dr Daphne Christie), editors of Volume 23 of the Witness Seminar series (L.A. Renolds and E.M. Tansey) and others include:

Detailed information for the seminar, commentary on the transcripts and feedback on the meeting from participants. Documents include: an article reprint provided by Dr Hewan Dewar, H.A. Dewar, P. Stephenson, A.R. Horler, A.J. Cassells-Smith and P.A. Ellis, titled, "Fibrinolytic Therapy of Coronary Thrombosis", British Medical Journal, pp.915-920, 6 April 1963.

Correspondence with those not listed as participants including; Robert Arnott (attendee); Professor Gustav Born (apologies); and Dr Alison Cook (attendee) who provided the timelines distributed at the meeting, together with a written history to accompany the timelines.
