Text block machine made paper, text printed in black, paper pre lined with blue and brown printing ink. The Diary has all three edges gilt. Embossed blind on spine '1911' and embossed unicorn on front There is a light blue tape bookmark with an inch and centimeter tape printed on one side and ''PRICE LIST, PAGE XXXI AT END 'WELLCOME' BRAND CHEMICALS, PAGE XXIII AT END' printed in dark blue.
