About this work
Description
Notes of lectures on Physics, probably given by Jean Henri Hassenfratz [1755-1827] at the École Polytechnique in Paris. Written for Clermont-Tonnerre by an anonymous Secretary, but with a few holograph corrections, etc. There are 11 numbered parts ('cahiers') headed 'Physique', which are dated from '15 Frimaire, An 9' to '15 Thermidor' [6 December 1800 to 3 August, 1801]. There is also an unnumbered and undated section headed 'Physique de la chaleur': this is entirely by the hand of Clermont-Tonnerre, as also is Section II of the 'Physique'. Produced in Paris.
