About this work

Description

Contains a letter from B Ruhemann, Secretary of the Marx House Faculty of Science, to J B S Haldane dated 15 December 1941 requesting permission to circulate his notes on "Soviet Science" to prospective lecturers on the subject, and asking if he would attend the day-school on "Science in the Soviet Union" on 1 February 1942. Letter is annotated by Haldane showing he consented.


Letter from Ruhemann to Haldane dated 24 December 1941 thanking Haldane for agreeing to attend the day-school and enclosing copies of a letter from J D Bernal on Farrington's statement and a final draft of the proposals for the Faculty of Science. The reverese of Bernal's letter contains rough notes by Haldane on Soviet science.


Letters between Ruhemann and Haldane dated 27 January 1942 - 28 January 1942 in which Haldane suggests amendments to the day-school agenda. Haldane's letter is typed on the reverse of Ruhemann's letter.
