Mr, Chairman, Mrs Megoran and Gentlemen, In accordance -with Article 17(5) of the Sanitary Officers (Outside London) Regulations 1935 and 1951* 1 have to submit for your information and consideration my Annual Report for the Year 1953. In Circular 21/53 dated 20th October 1953* the Minister of Health requires that this Report should be prepared on the lines indicated in Form Port 20 which was enclosed with Circular 33/5^ dated 6th November 1952. Form Port 20 states that the information required in Sections 1,V,V1,V111,X1V,XV, and XVI - all marked with an asterisk - need not be repeated each year. This information was given in full in last year’s Report and will be recapitulated in 1955 and thereafter quinquenially. For the intermediate years only the changes which have occurred during the year covered by the Report need be mentioned in these Sections$ if there has been no change, ”N0 CHANGE” should be entered. On one occasion when it was necessary to board a vessel, the Captain-in-Charge, H.M.Dockyard, Portland, put an M.F.V. at my disposal and this co-operation was very much appreciated. It is again a pleasure to have this opportunity of thanking members of the Authority for their kindness and consideration, the Clerk for his ready co-operation, and Mr, E.V.
