About this work

Description

MS formula cards for Burroughs Wellcome & Co products and for chemical compounds which were used in Burroughs Wellcome & Co products. These cards act as a "recipe book", giving instructions for the creation of the compounds and sometimes indicating yields. Each entry on the card is dated and often the entries span several decades.

These cards were created and held by the head of the Chemical Department, Dartford and then copied into the Chemical Processes books [WF/CW/12] which were held at Head Office and sent to Dartford specifically for this purpose.

NB The alphabetical sequence is inconsistent in places. For example, some acids are held under A whereas others are held under their name.
