About this work
Description
"These are the original watercolours for a zine about the work mad people do for each other: how we love each other in a system that fails us. Mental health service users/survivors exist in a system where we are seen as fundamentally unreliable witnesses to our own lives and needs. The way we care for each other in life and the way we grieve each other in death is shaped by resisting that view of ourselves, the love and the anger it leaves us with."--Text provided by the artist.
"Please note this work references suicide bereavement, but there are no descriptions of suicide methods."--Text provided by the artist.
