About this work

Description

The American dancer Harry Pilcer (1885-1961). Pilcer came to England in 1913 under the auspices of the French revue star Gaby Deslys, who met him while performing on Broadway. He partnered her for several years before her death in 1921. He retired to the South of France after World War II.
