The scene depicts Krispyn being rescued by a ghost friend of his lover, Katryn, from being dissected alive by Doctor Mirobolan. This reproduction was made during the VI International Congress for the History of Medicine held in Leiden 1927 at the Exposition d'art Medico-Historique and is described as Dessin [Drawing] 52, Krispijn medicyn, in the exhibition catalogue.
