Letters from Gelder to his parents in Wakefield, while a dispensing and visiting assistant to [R Lucie] Reed, surgeon, at Whitechapel Road, London, March-November 1832, and while in Edinburgh in the employ of Mr Cope, a wholesale, retail and manufacturing chemist and druggist, March-August 1834.
