This work is untitled: the title has been supplied by the cataloguer.
The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Early 1950s Rank Studio publicity shot of Dirk Bogarde (1921-1999). Bogarde was closeted in his personal and professional life despite playing the lead role in the film 'Victim' in 1961, the first commercial British film to have a cast of homosexual characters. He later played the role of Gustav von Aschenbach in 'Death in Venice'. He shared several homes with his agent and life partner Anthony Forwood".
