Colour slides

35mm colour slides, mainly of Nigeria, particularly the areas around Ilaro, Birnin Kebbi and Sokoto; also includes some from other geographical regions including India, Madagascar, Venezuela, Brazil, El Salvador, Ghana, Iran, Zanzibar and Ceylon. Some are of scientific subjects but there are also many general scenes of life and landscape.

The slides are organised according to a classification system, the key to which does not seem to have survived, although a detailed list of one portion of the collection, relating to Birnin Kebbi, is included. Most of the slides are captioned.
