The following description was provided by James Gardiner: "Anton Dolin (Patrick Kay) 1904-1983. The catalogued item shows Dolin in his costume for the ballet 'Job' (score by Ralph Vaughan Williams), 1931. Dolin was as 'out' as it was possible for a gay man to be in public life in the era before partial decriminalisation in 1967".
