Dual-purpose notebook (chemistry and staffing)

A notebook with front label identifying it as "Research Laboratory / Examination of Chemicals etc" (Snow Hill Buildings, London).

The first few pages have been completed in the hand of F B Power, under the heading "Examination of Essential Oils in use at factory". Some entries date-stamped, from 1898 (samples of Sodium Bicarbonate) to 1905 (Chaulmoogra Oil). Various entries describing the quality of oils.

The remainder of the notebook, with the exception noted below, comprises staff details for WCRL (name, address, date commenced service, weekly wage, service badges, etc). One loose sheet inserted at numbered page 20 (J A Goodson).

An exception to this division of material occurs in numbered pages 25-28, which is a table headed "Specimens for test" for the years 1914-1918.
