Biographical note
Mourant joined the staff of Geological Survey of Great Britain in april 1929. His principal work was mapping the coal measures of Lancashire. However, Mourant's rate of survey work was not considered satisfactory and he resigned in april 1931. He returned to Jersey in 1933 where he established and directed the Jersey Chemical Pathology Laboratory until 1939.
