5 December, 1960. A draft document entitled "Trading Policy" (5 December, 1960) prepared by C M Carr, and circulated to F A Cooper, A A Gray, A D Robertson and J K Wilson for comment.

23 December, 1960. A detailed memorandum in response from the CMR Chairman to C M Carr. "It must, however, be recognized that, by the purchase by the Foundation of CMR as a wholly owned subsidiary, the reason for the existence of CMR, and the basic long range policy arising from it, has been drastically changed."

28 December, 1960. Memorandum from Dr D E Wheeler, Managing Director, Wellcome Foundation, to C M Carr, concerning CMR and "Trading Policy". The memorandum refers to general policy, product range and marketing.
